Kigali International is at Kanombe, about fifteen minutes from the city centre, and arrivals is one of the calmer airports anywhere. Having a car there turns the gorilla-trekking trip north into something you leave for at dawn rather than negotiate the night before.

We track it. A late arrival moves the pick-up automatically.

Our driver has your name. The car is in the car park by the terminal.
Licence check takes two minutes
Bring the licence you booked with, and an international permit if you hold one.
Dropping off
Back at the terminal on your way out, or collected from your hotel. No difference in price.

Going straight to Musanze
Two hours north on good tarmac. Doable on landing in daylight; we would not recommend starting it at midnight.
Umuganda mornings
On the last Saturday of the month, traffic stops from about 08:00 to 11:00. If you land in that window, tell us and we will plan around it.

We watch the flight number and move the pick-up with it.
Is there an airport surcharge?
No. KGL is inside our standard Kigali delivery area.
Can I get a 4x4 at the airport?
Yes, and it is the most common request for anyone heading to Volcanoes or Nyungwe. Ask early — there are fewer of them.
Can I book on arrival?
Message us and we will see. A day of notice is usually enough to guarantee something.
